The Mix Tape

January 21, 2015

I remember when music was stored on a thin piece of tape and protected inside that hard plastic box; the cassette. And you could always tell the cassettes that were loved because the song titles would be worn off from being handled so much. (I had a very loved AC/DC cassette) Everyone had a favorite mix tape and many of mine were mixes of music I had recorded directly from the radio and sometimes they were my favorites from different albums I had purchased. Talk about quality. Ha!

Today I rarely buy albums unless I'm in love with all the songs and mainly stick to single digital purchases.  Although cassettes are obsolete the mix tape of the past is still alive and well it just ditched the plastic and morphed into an iTunes play list.

What cassette did you own that was loved until the song titles started to fade?

If I had seen this at a garage sale I would have bought it for the frame and thought it was a cheapo print.😂 https://t.co/qXfyr0ReNC
