View-Master

March 11, 2015

It's WHENsday all! The day I play with illo's, hand lettering and different mediums to push myself, have some fun and take a step back into the past. Today I played with craft paper, white pencil and and HB lead to create my View-Master.  Did you have one of these growing up? My parents actually still have mine along with all the slides. I had the talking View-Master and I think it still works to this day! I have to get it out next time I visit.

Any how View-Masters have always been cool and even today pop up in some of the most unexpected places. I've even seen where some restaurants use them for their kids menus. Which I find very cool. Although current technology has today's generations, including myself, staring at a cell phone or tablet the View-Master's novelty has the ability to pull your attention away from all those toys. Honestly, can you see a View-Master and not pick it up and peek inside. The answer is "No!", right? Ha!

While drawing up today's post I did visit www.View-Master.com and they are coming out with something in the fall of 2015.  It could prove rather interesting so I'll keep checking back.

In the mean time have a beautiful Wednesday and if you hit a road block try looking at the world through a different lens. Change your view.

If I had seen this at a garage sale I would have bought it for the frame and thought it was a cheapo print.😂 https://t.co/qXfyr0ReNC
