I will never forget all the fun times I had as a kid roller skating at our local skating rink. I did have my own skates but nothing like the pretty pink ones I drew up for today's post. Trust me though, had I seen skates like these I would have begged day and night to get them. Skating was so much fun for the us because we were too young to drive but still wanted the freedom to be with their friends. It was also nice for our parents because they knew we were safe. No cell phones or computers just an agreed pick-up time and a little money for a snack and drink was all we needed. Ah the simple things in life were had here. With wheels on your feet and wind in your hair, fun times with great friends and awesome music couldn't be beat. Remember those games they played at the rink, limbo, musical corners and stretch? I remember winning a couple of times and feeling like I had won the lotto! I mainly won playing stretch or musical corners. What sweet memories...
