Today, June 3 is the last day of school for our youngest and just seeing her excitement has the whole house feeling butterflies. It's so fun watching kids experience the world and piggy back on their fun and excitement. Today's I Remember Whensday has me remembering the last days of school and how full the anticipation and dreams of summer fun with friends were. Thoughts of how crazy the last bus ride of that school year would be always had us in a buzz. Water guns were big to sneak on the bus for water fights and always ended badly. But were so FUN! Ha!
For me though, summer break had long moments of dreaming of school again because I missed my friends a lot. Growing up in the country means miles between you and your friends. The more miles, the more coordination to see them. So when we could get together it was always so much fun. My best buds and I would hang out as much as we possibly could. I will never ever forget how awesome it was for us to all be together. Even if we had nothing to do we just enjoyed being with each other. Good times!
