The Boom Box. How could one ever forget this iconic piece of equipment?
I will never forget a summer trip to a local park and a kid walking around with the most massive boom box I ever saw strapped to him. It was barely clearing the ground at times. But he was jamming and so was everyone else around him. To this day I still wonder how many batteries he slaughtered that day alone.
Any how I had one. Mine was a modest version much like the one I drew for today's post but guess what? It still works to this day! I actually gave it to my Papa so he could use it to listen to his NASCAR races before he got satellite TV and was able to watch them. Whatever the case this is the story...
If you didn't have one, you wanted one. If you had one, you wanted a bigger one. Basically, if you made it out of the 80's without one you didn't do it right!
